This mountain hut is located at an altitude of 1,777 metres above sea level in the hiking destination and ski resort of Bergbahnen Oberperfuss on Rangger Köpfl mountain. The hut is open year round and offers accommodation for 30 people, including one double room, one quadruple room, one multi-bed room for six people and a "Matratzenlager" (a shared dormitory style room with designated bed spaces). Guests particularly value the good and inexpensive food served in the charming and welcoming dining rooms.

The hut has a large sun terrace with unique views and is a popular meeting point for hikers and mountain bikers. Two 8-seater gondolas take you from the village of Oberperfuss up to the middle lift station in just a few minutes. From there, it is a 40-minute walk to the Rosskogelhütte mountain hut.

The hut is ideal for groups and various celebrations when booked in advance. A shuttle service is available from the middle lift station. This must be arranged with the Rosskogelhütte at least one day in advance.

Fees apply to park in Stiglreith car park, payment is possible with coins or a debit card. The road to Stiglreith is closed during the winter months, from 1 November until 30 March.

Ab der Mittelstation wird ein Shuttleservice angeboten, Anmeldungen 1 Tag vorher in der Rosskogelhütte. Der Parkplatz Stiglreith ist Gebührenpflichtig, Münzen oder Bankomatkarte notwendig. Während der Wintermonate 01.11. - 30.03. Straße nach Stiglreith gesperrt.
